Today's adventure begins at Tian'anmen Square, the largest public space on earth. Passing through the Heavenly Peace Gate and walking into the Forbidden City, you will step back in time and home to the Imperial Courts of Ming and Qing Dynasties for more than 500 years. After lunch, you will visit the Summer Palace, the best preserved of all imperial palace gardens. This evening, you will take the overnight soft sleeper train to Datong.(B+L+D)

The tour guide will meet you at the Stations and escort you to the hotel. Your adventure begins at the Yungang Grottoes, which are considered first stone sculpture in China, for their tremendous size, ancient history, and relatively complete state of preservation. Go on to visit the Huayan Monastery, the largest and best preserved monastery of the Liao Dynasty. Then visit the Nine Dragon Screen, the oldest and largest glazed screen in China today, which is three times larger than that in Beihai Park, Beijing.(B+L)

Today you will visit the the Hanging Monastery, You will also tour the Sakyamuni Wooden Pagoda at Fuoguang Temple in Yingxian County. This evening, back to Beijing.(B+L+D)

Arrive in Beijing in the morning. Leave the bustle and traffic of Beijing behind and journey through the countryside to see one of the Wonders of the World – The Great Wall. Along the way, you will stop at a jade carving factory where you can watch artisans at work. After lunch you will visit the massive tomb complex of the Ming Emperors where you will walk along the "Sacred Way" passing between pairs of huge stone sculptures. This evening, you will enjoy the traditional Beijing Duck Banquet Dinner, then attend a lively Peking Opera performance.(B+L+D)
